I rarely post, but I feel like I need to chime in. We went through this last year with our daughter. She was in the Honors college at Longwood. She informed us just before coming home for Christmas that she wasn't doing well. Not going to class and her grades were suffering because of it. As a result she was placed on academic suspension. She has been treated for depression and anxiety for the past several years (she is dealing with sexual trauma from a few years ago). She was doing really well at first but slacked off on her meds. This past year has been very tough on the family. Out daughter has been hospitalized 6 times and stayed 30 days in a residential treatment facility in Tennessee. She is doing much better now and is poised to start VCU Fall 2020. I guess my point is to hang in there, I know things probably look grim right now, but it does get better. It's not the end of the world. Continue to support her while having patience. Brighter days are ahead. Feel free to reach out to me if you need to talk.
