My take on the offense is that she is seen as a simpering...
housewife taking care of the kid with no outside life at all. She depends completely on him for everything so when he gets her a Peloton she is infinitely grateful with big, round child-like eyes. She takes off and runs with it which is odd b/c it becomes more like a Nike "Just Do It" ad but still, at the same time she is gratified when the Peloton instructors compliment her.
I don't know who this ad is aimed at, trophy wives who married rich, live well, but now need something to do? Selling the Peloton as something more like chic furniture? As I said it's a far cry from the "Just Do It" ads (Adidas etc.) which basically are telling you to get your ass off the sofa and go out for a run.
I have noticed that the whole spinning thing is kinda culty but don't know how that plays into this, she gets to hang out with cool people?
