You just summed up the root of most of our country's issues, IMO

This is treading a fine UWS line, but man...until people start taking accountability for their own life choices and sticking around to raise their own children, I don't see a way that things are going to get any better. Kids need a mother AND a father, under the same roof, to feel a sense of normalcy and structure. Our culture has abandoned that model, and as a result, there are a lot of kids wandering aimlessly trying to find their own way...which leads to horrible situations like this.
