I haven't measured the temperature, but when the oven is set to "Broil",


the top burners are just ON, full bore. No temperature setting. OK, there's also "Low Broil", but I still don't know what temperature that is/means, or how many inches from the broiler I'd have to be to know it's less than 425 (margin of safety).

So when I bake bacon, I go for 375 to 400 on 'bake'.
