As it turns out, in addition to our secular Christmas, we'll be celebrating

Hanukkah at sundown today. TSO's long time friend, who lives nearby, is Jewish and is bringing her menorah to our supper here this evening, and will sing the three prayers. WADR, I had no idea menorahs were mobile. My most recently-deceased BIL was Jewish, but he never celebrated his faith. We never did with TSO's friend, either, since this was the first time the visits and Hanukkah coincided with Christmas day.

TSO's other friend, a Catholic, will also be here.

I'll be doing my best to keep the power of my spiritual void from destroying everyone's evening.
