I would think it's due to pitching depth

Mara has been there a year as a walk-on - I suspect she will finish up school there and is done with softball. DeHart was also a walk-on this year. The 2 signees are on scholarship and are pretty good so it sounds like it's pretty clear what's up. Both are PO's so there's no other position for them.
