That had a diesel engine

Toyota did import a diesel powered pickup in the 80s, but I don't remember it being a turbo diesel. Back then, diesel without turbo meant really, really slow.

They also offered a turbo 22R (or 20R) in a pickup around that time too, but not for very long. Maybe one year? If you have a 80s-mid 90s gas powered Toyota pickup with that series of engine, LC Engineering can hook you up with a turbo kit and other "go fast" parts. Those 4-banger Toyota engines were extremely durable, but weren't the most powerful on the market.
