Everything was fairly smooth with the removal...

...then it became a real pain to get the pivot arm holes to line up. I finally stumbled across the solution - jacked up the A-arm a little, and tried the bolts. Jacked it up more, and tried the bolts. Jacked it up more... Eventually I hit the "sweet spot" and both pivot bolts (compliance bushing and the rear A-arm bushing bolts) easily slid into place. I was so close for so much time before I finally tried that "trick."

Will do the passenger side tomorrow, and I expect to get that done much quicker, now that I know "the trick." I should cut 90 minutes out of the job with that, and a couple other "tricks" I learned the hard way.

On the bright side, the penetrating oil worked like a charm. Was able to remove every bolt without any trouble or banged knuckles. I sprayed everything a week ago, then hit it again about 15 minutes before I started the job.

Bottom line. I'll take that $400 I'm saving and putting it towards meals, (eventually) alcohol, etc.
