Also depends a ton on the island. IMO, Oahu sux. My friend lived there for 4-5 years, and was ready to come back after 2.

I think a lot depends on where you are in life. If it’s just you and the wife, it could be fun. But don’t expect to see family or friends more than once or so a year.
