Windows 10 Desktop - help me decide? (inside)


My main PC is a Windows 7 desktop and it is getting a little tired at seven years old. This PC is where I have email, do taxes, all financials, pretty much everything I do on this PC. So, with its age and Windows 7 end of life I'm look to replace my main PC.

I can't decide on what to do so I'm turning to the Lounge! Help me decide between my options below:
1) Buy a new Windows 10 PC?
2) Build a new Windows 10 PC?
3) Take my main PC now and wipe it and install Linux on it.
4) I do have one PC which is a Windows 10 beast with 32GB and a high-end CPU. However, it is now pretty much dedicated to running several Virtual Machines (VMs). And I like having a dedicated box just for VMs. I could load this PC up with all of my crap and tag this as my mine PC.
5) other options?
