he shouldn't have and he paid for it.

Kennedy Monday is a strong, tall kid. DMF can't dive underneath to get a leg like he did early in the first because a tall/long kid like Monday can create the space needed to counter that. When you intentionally dive to the legs and expose your back, you need to have the top guy get high as a result so when you roll through, he rolls too. Monday created the space and boom DMF is on his back. That happened a couple times during the match.

And once he was down, he had to take risks because he wasn't wrestling to minimize damage, he was looking for something big to put Monday on his back. Obviously, Monday is talented enough to exploit those risks.

DMF will need to adjust his style somewhat for guys like Monday. He'll work on that and I'd bed the farm that come ACC's, DMF will avenge the loss just fine
