Bryce looks like the big favorite at 149 with Brent Moore’s retirement.

125, 133 and 197 will have competition from wrestlers currently in the program.

141 and HWT have incumbent favorites with talented incoming freshmen who are likely a year away from challenging. I’m projecting Hillegas at 141. Mitch still has a redshirt year, but I’m not sure that makes sense with our overall team projected to make runs next two seasons and talented youth behind him at the lower weights.

Mekhi moving to 174 would allow Brady and BC to crack the starting lineup together. Ulrey would have a chance to start at 174 if Mekhi returns to 165 next season.

Coach Robie could pull a rabbit out of his hat with a transfer. Remains to be seen who is available and if there is a need to go outside the program for a weight class.
