As needed and scheduled, never use brushes or a non-touchless cash wash...

Those brushes in the bays and the brushes in automatic washes hold all sorts of grit and grime and will cause micro scratches in a heart beat. With 3 black vehicles I am very careful in how each vehicle gets washed. Each vehicle gets it's own bucket of fresh solution specific for car care (no dish soap), a dedicated microfiber mit and when washing the wheels are always last. If the mit falls on the ground, a new mit is used...same goes for drying and waxing. Insides are fully detailed 4 times a year and the outsides are always hand waxed twice (once in the spring and once in the fall). Polishing may happen once every 2 to 3 years.

My philosophy is you pay enough for vehicles, so I want to take care of them. My oldest vehicle is 18 years old with 230,000 miles and I can still make the paint look almost like glass and the inside looks like vehicles less than 1/2 its age.
