NCSU thoughts?
From the wolfpack perspective...
H. Hidlay is their surest thing. BC has given him a really tough, close match, but I think you have to give NCSU at least 3 here
Camacho looks like the next surest 3 for NCST at 125. Far from a done deal, but recent results say so.
T. Hidlay is their 2nd best wrestler on paper. Bolen is our best. This is a huge opportunity for Hunter to stake a clear claim to #2 behind Valencia. I expect him to do it and give us 3
T. Wilson can be a monster, but he's not been lately. Mitch gave him everything but the loss earlier this year. I think anything could happen here...huge swing match
The Bullards. Probably NCSU would think Daniel over Cody at 174 is one of their surest things. Maybe, but Cody is not an easy out. Slight edge to the Wolfpack here, but ignore the MD prediction of wrestlestat. Cody don't play that. As for the 165 Bullard, I think this might be VT's surest thing. Slim margin and probably last minute, but I don't have much doubt that DMF wins it.
Maybe 285 is VT's best shot? If Borst hadn't slipped against UVa, I'd be more confident, but this is probably 3 for VT.
Reenan at 197 is a wildcard. On paper, Stan's no match, but Reenan is clearly not what he used to be due to injury. He just got skunked by Whitman of UNC after defaulting against Aiello. I really like Stan's chances here.
So that leaves 133 and 149. Tossups. 133 probably couldn't be more of a tossup. Collin won the last one, so let's go with that. 149, I think Andonian swings it the Hokie way big time. Fall. You heard it hear first.
So I give NCSU 125 and 157
I give VT 165 and 285
NCSU 174 and VT 184
draw thus far
Give me Stan at 197 because Reenan is such question mark. VT +3
Something tells me Trombley takes 133. That's 4 decisions each way.
Somebody's getting pinned at 141 or 149 and that's deciding it. Gut says Andonian does the pinning and Moore loses another heartbreaker, but not the fall variety.
Which I think means VT 18-15.
