Whenever I hear somebody talk about this, I think about Haught
Against Missouri In the Moss center. We were in a very tight dual against Missouri. He had a very comfortable lead against a good wrestler (Miklus). He was Pushing towards the end of the third period for a major decision to help the team out. And he ended up getting pinned.
When you are wrestling against a highly ranked wrestler you have to be careful that you do not put yourself in a bad situation. Because really good wrestlers will take advantage of it and make you pay. You can go from having a very comfortable win that will boost your seating at NCAA’s which is extremely important, to take a devastating loss.
So with that said there is a very fine balance these wrestlers need to walk. [Post edited by larhokie at 02/15/2020 9:43PM]
