I think one of our insiders here, maybe HokieMole, said that he was talking to Robie about how we are basically starting a lineup with a number of guys who weren’t recruited out of high school or offered scholarships out of high school. I think we’ve got 5 VA guys who weren’t heavily recruited starting (125, 133, 157, 197 and 285) plus a 5th year who was a walk-on (174), and a true freshman (149). I don’t know any of the scholarship situations, but if I had to guess, the only fulls we have on the team are probably DMF, Mekhi and maybe Brady (Bolen probably doesn’t since he’s in state he probably has a partial, but the scholarships for our of state guys goes significantly farther in terms of monetary value). I could be completely wrong and we may not have any full scholarships, just partials. Although it’s important to remember that Brents scholarship money is back in the pool. His scholarship is honored, but it doesn’t count against our 9.9 since he’s injured.
