The other issue not often discussed is impacted age ranges
China and the WHO have released some more detailed numbers recently and it shows that the elderly are far more impacted. The younger ages have much higher numbers of actual infection but the older ages have a worse impact.
Below 50 were all 0.4% or less
50-59 had 1.3% death rate
60-69 had 3.6% death rate
70-79 had 8% death rate
80+ had 14.8% death rate
If you see similar impact in the US, imagine the waterfall impacts. Industries that sell directly to those populations. Insurance payments. Communities with heavy retiree populations that eat and shop locally. Those groups are the ones to keep an eye on as this spreads.
