Hey guys, haven't been on in a while, but thought I would stop in and catch up.
We are taking 9 guys to Minneapolis! If you told us that at beginning of the year, I think the staff would be pretty ecstatic! Trust me, being one match away in 3 ACC duals from being undefeated and having a rough ACC Tournament is not far from our minds, but we try and keep things in perspective and believe our best wrestling is in 9 days! We have a great group of Hokie Fans heading to the Twin Cities and the boys are excited to let it fly. We will train the next 3 days, get a day off, go light on Sunday and Monday, and then be off to Minny Tuesday Morning.
Robie and I got to see some of our recruits in the early rounds of PA and NJ State Tournaments last week, they all had very successful careers and are ready for Blacksburg! Also got some good intel on some 2021,22s & 23's...pretty wild how young some of these elite level wrestlers are!
Mekhi and Ty spent last week in Ann Arbor training with their RTC, and are improving rapidly and will be so ready for the OTTs in State College 3 weeks from Saturday!
The 3 days in March, that the prior 362 have led up to, is what these 9 boys have dreamed about since they started wrestling! I can't tell you how excited I am to see them live their dreams and make those dreams reality! Thanks Hokie Nation, and I will see you in Minnesota!
