Now, is it true? I don't know.

The statistics are looking a little better in Italy, Germany, and Spain where the new cases each day is steady. If they start to go down and continue to do so (I think Italy reported fewer new cases day over day the weekend, however hard to tell if that is a fluke or not). Then it seems feasible that China is not lying since China is weeks ahead.
