The TP issue in a nutshell: With everyone staying home the demand/ussge

of residential grade TP is way, way up. The demand has just overwhelmed the supply and it isn't changing anytime soon. The normal demand is somewhat constant and the manufacturing process has adapted to that, including plants already running 24 hours. There is very little room to increase production near term as it would require plant expansion.

Conversely there is plenty of commercial grade TP out there. Office buildings don't need it with no one there. The problem is it's made by different manufacturers, different process, uses recycled paper, is packaged often in atypical roll sizes, and is distributed thru a completely different supply chain.

So it looks like TP shortages are the new norm as long as this continues.
