Viruses and markers - a conversation I had today with a local hospital

lab tech and specialty pharmacist: the person said they are getting daily seminars and daily updates about the origin of C-19 in order to better fight it.

I don't know that person and that person doesn't know me. I told the person that there had been discussions on my university's premier message board about virus markers, and I allowed as how I was a mere photographer who know nothing about markers, much less weather.

I told this person that skilled, knowledgeable practitioners of the art of message board science from my university had claimed that no markers led anyone to believe this was from China, or Wuhan, from the wet market or from the virus lab.

The person told me that, oh yes, the markers have narrowed its origin to Wuhan and oh, yes, they can't tell whether it began at the wet market and spread from there to the lab, or vice versa.

Either way, the real world of real people who know about virus markers know that much. Today. And they are learning more hourly.
