We've been disappointed here as well on how 'challenging' the home school

work HASN'T been.

My 5th grader has stepped up to long division, which wasn't taught prior to this in school, but that's about the only new thing I've seen for either kid, and my son had the long division almost mastered in about an hour. Now the work that's reinforcing it is pretty easy so far. He's generally done with all the assigned work, PLUS some extra that we make him do, in about 3.5 hours or so.

My 8th grade daughter generally is spending a little less time than that. We generally love the school district we're in, but I don't like how it's handing 'remote learning'.
