It is important to share if it might help you and others.


One of my sons became addicted after undergoing knee surgery for a soccer injury. I knew there was a problem when he told his mother and me that the meds helped him for the pain emotionally more than physically.

He went through the oft-related stories of ODs and homeless before succumbing to the disease. His mother and I became quintessential enablers during our misinformed attempts to help him deal with his addiction, a path that we eventually came to understand as fruitless.

My thoughts and secular prayers are with you on your continued efforts to remain clean.
