Gas is very noisy and there is far more to maintain. I got a Club Car (very used) and am fixing it up but I think in hindsight I would recommend EZ-Go. Most of my neighbors that have them have EZ-Go and theirs are faster than mine. Mine has 2017 batteries which appear to be fine but when loaded with 4 people it struggles to get up hills. I am hoping I don't have to replace the controller - still tweaking things but right now I am finishing cosmetic stuff (painting the frame and rear step, cleaning) and making it street legal (rear safety bar, slow moving vehicle sign, rear seat belts, rear view mirror ... and of course, padded rear cup holders so my passengers have a place to put their beverage of choice). It is fun to play around with and great for cruising my neighborhood.
