we were told would happen to all states that re-opened to any degree. As I said, I would expect an increase in transmission and infections when more people are out. That is why we locked down for so long - so hospital rooms, PPE, ventilators, etc could handle the number of cases. Even under the worst of all possible situations, NYC never ran out of hospital rooms or ventilators or anything else. In fact, they essentially didn't use the temporary hospital or the medical ship they had access to. There are ZERO medical reasons why we shouldn't open things up right now while keeping the vulnerable isolated and being sensible with your activities. We flattened the curve (and the economy) - time to get back to normal (for those that are healthy).
