I was in the Dismal Swamp, and there were Barred Owls everywhere

One even landed about 30 yards ahead of my group that was walking down one of the trails. We were told their greatest threat came from the Great Horned Owls, who didn't like having another predator in their hunting area (I guess).

Really neat hearing these guys calling from all directions!
