I wanted to say thanks again for all the prayers dealing with the tumors!

Last week went horribly awry and I was literally saved multiple times along the way…

I went in for surgery on Monday and they used the same anesthesia and antibiotics they had on me 4 week prior to remove the first tumor. However, this time, I had a very bad allergic reaction to the meds and went into anaphylactic shock. My blood pressure dropped to 20 and my heart nearly stopped. The doctors had to do CPR at that point to resuscitate me. Because the reaction was so bad, they were afraid my throat might fully constrict / close, so they left a breathing tube in me Monday night / Tuesday. I was in and out of consciousness Tuesday with my poor wife sitting beside me. On Wednesday, they redid surgery for the tumor. What they found was the tumor had grown into the right ventricle of my heart. What started as a hope of only doing a small cut into the pericardial sac to remove the tumor turned into a heart bypass surgery to repair a hole in my heart.

Monday of last week is blank after surgery prep, Tuesday is very blurry at best, Wednesday is completely blank from my memory. I came around on Thursday afternoon in the heart ICU looking like a jigsaw of tubes, tape, and stuff. On Friday, I was moved to regular recovery, where I stayed until Monday.

I was released from the hospital this past Monday and am home mostly resting this week, answering a few emails, and slowly getting my head back in the game.

I took a shower in my own bathroom, slept in my own bed the last 2 nights and am pretty daggon thrilled to be standing at this point J

I REALLY appreciate everyone’s prayers; they were all needed!

My wife needs to be anointed as a saint; I don’t know that I will ever fully understand what I’ve put her through.
