You can roughly go on price.


Better tasting and higher quality stuff (IMHO) starts roughly around $35-40 for a 750ml bottle. Of course higher prices above that get higher quality. Also, as it starts showing 10+ years of aging you generally get higher quality.

Below that price level, I've not enjoyed the ones I've tried straight or with ice. And base level Jack is really bleh to me now.
