My two cents

RTCs: Goodale, Reece Humphrey, Chris Ayres and Co. have done a great building the NJRTC. Sebastian would probably have Tyler Graff (61 kg) and Anthony Ashnault (65 kg) as his training partners. Two guys who are really good. As for Suriano, it's still TBD if he's wrestling for Rutgers this season or if he's even going to return to RU. He has MMA/fighting aspirations. It's also TBD that RU is even in the picture as a training destination post-college for him. As @Hokiefan94 points out, Kolodzik and Glory (who Sebastian beat in the NJ state finals as a HS senior) are Princeton guys that can match up with him as well. Also, Sammy Alvarez is Rutgers' 133 and was a darkhorse AA candidate at 2020 NCAAs.

As for the SERTC, we offer James Green (70 kg), the young guys (Latona, Brady, Andonian) and his mentor Brewer (who has mentioned that he hasn't left his shoes on the mat). Frayer's freestyle expertise that's respected nationally cannot be discounted at all here. I believe he's a big reason why Green is coming to Blacksburg. Speaking of Green, he has frequently pointed out the SERTC/Blacksburg's proximity to other clubs on the East Coast (Wolfpack RTC, Tar Heel WC, NJRTC, Penn RTC) as a pull to leave Lincoln. Better access to better partners while still calling the SERTC home.

Will he want plenty of partners at his disposal and access to his dad's club 24/7? (See link below). Or will he want to be around Frayer and Brewer while hopping along with James Green while they train up and down the coast?

Coaches: Goodale and Robie are the CEOs of their programs. Strictly looking at assistants relevant to his weight and guys who I think run the room during practice, I believe Donny Pritzlaff and Graff fit into this category. Not sure how Graff stacks up as a coach but Donny is a NJ legend, was a world class wrestler in his own right and has played a key role in the ascension of Rutgers the last few years on the mat and in recruiting.

VT boasts Frayer and Brewer. The former is one of the top freestyle coaches in the country, the latter is Sebastian's mentor. Brewer has spent countless hours with him in the room, his primary coach in the corner, the guy that helped him beat Spencer Lee (twice!) and place third in a stacked 133 bracket at 2019 NCAAs (beat Vito Arujau twice). A guy whose wedding he was in!

Will he go back to his mentor and good friend? Or will going home and wrestling at The RAC in front of family, friends and thousands of fans be too much of a pull?

Conference: Going to RU keeps Sebastian in the B1G; the best conference in the country. Not much needs to be said there. Going to VT means wrestling in the ACC, where his toughest competition will probably be Tariq Wilson and Zach Sherman. Wilson will always have 2018 NCAAs in his pocket but it's a much easier road than Jaydin Eierman, Nick Lee and Chad Red.

How important is winning another B1G championship and facing the best competition every dual mean to him? This kind of ties into my next point...

Team: He will be the man at Rutgers. The main attraction. Alvarez is an AA contender at 133, but after him, Flo has Nic Aguilar ranked 19th at 125, Joe Grello ranked 23rd at 174 and Billy Janzer ranked 16th at 184. Alvarez is ranked seventh at 33. Meanwhile, we have Latona (12), Andonian (21), Mekhi (1), Bolen (2) and Borst (22) (Myers is not currently ranked by Flo). I don't see RU qualifying for NCAAs at a couple of weights (granted, more qualifying spots in the B1G) while we have a shot at qualifying all 10. Also, we have two national title contenders on paper to RU's zero. If Sebastian chooses VT, he'll be the third.

Does he want to be on a team that finishes top 10 at NCAAs with a shot at taking back the ACC? Or does he want to be the man in his home state and win his national title at his state's university?
