Not popular opinion. The rantings if a few. I think that Shane would be an
exceptional hire but I am happy with Fuente. The knock on Shane, other than recruiting by a few harsh critics, is that he hasn’t been a head coach. Like 20-30 head coaches who had head coaching experience when they were hired aren’t fired every year. Shane has coached under at least three hall of fame coaches, he is young, and is is a VT alum. Who would not work their rear end off to make their school be successful? And in this case, to build on his dad’s legacy? He wouldn’t be interviewing with Baylor.
