I was able to stay engaged by paying attention to the minors. I'd literally check the minor league scores and look at the box scores every day, just to keep up with all the major prospects in Atlanta's system.

Of course, that's not really an option for an O's fan. They sucked at tanking, too. They waited two seasons too long to go into tank mode. By the time they decided to tank, they didn't have any good players to trade for prospects. They've got to do it all through the draft. It's going to take them a long time to pull themselves out of their current level. Perhaps the better part of a decade.
