you can get yourself into a professional style mower for a good price. Might need a battery or tire here and there but if you are wanting to save money that's the way to do it.

I think ultimately you are going to wish you never bought 5 mowers and tried to run them all at once. I'm picturing tall wet grass and 5 wimpy 21" mowers trying to get through it. You'll be stopping every 30 seconds to clear a jam or start one up that gagged itself.

Also, what do you plan to tow with?
