A Covid story for those interested. There's an older lady at the hospital

My wife works at. She's been there for over 60 days now due to Covid. She keeps testing positive. She's not in the ICU but can't go "home" because home is a nursing home. She gets a Covid test every 3 days and has tested positive every single time.
I have no idea how that effects numbers. I don't know if they are even able to delineate between "new cases" and "testing encounters". As far as I know the hospital doesn't make that distinction when they submit the test.
Just thought I'd share.
