Ate at a tapas-style restaurant when I was overseas a couple years ago


and the whole restaurant concept ran on an app.

Pick what you want, place the order, you get a text when it's ready, then go pick it up from the kitchen. Portions were rather small, but everything was under $5.

They didn't really have servers. What they had was roving IT guys to help people with the app if they needed it.

Novel and interesting experience, plus some of the best food I've ever had.
