...it would be a headline story on Fox News.

There are a crap-ton of people in this country who like taking and sharing pictures of their guns. If Google (or even Samsung) was reaching into their phones are removing said photos it would be a major media event.

I don't know why Alan's photo disappeared, but it's not the insidious tendrils of Big Tech singling him out. As someone who works in the tech industry (but nowhere related to telecom or smart phones) I can say with some authority that most of the time when the unexplained happens, it's some sort of operator error. Most of the rest of the time it's a legit glitch or bug. It's NEVER the black helicopters answer.
