It’s not contradictory.


Societally there are, obviously, competing priorities that are being considered. However, I’m saying the primary objective of cancelling games is not about saving lives. Programs are faced with the reality that an outbreak on their team likely means cancelling or forfeiting games. Collectively, CFB programs know that a spike among their athletes likely means no season and that means no $$. So, they are trying to salvage the most valuable part of thei season.

It doesn’t seem that complicated to me. The programs are motivated by money.
