Anyone like the band sonic youth?

Every day I work from home I explore a band I don't know much about. Sometimes this takes a week, like it did with Thin Lizzy, who is awesome.

Today is Sonic Youth. I think this is probably a one day band. Anything in particular I should listen to in terms of their signature albums? I must admit I had always written this band off as an "art school band", but am going into it with an open mind.
