Having been in a HD on a weekend recently


It is hard to argue the point you make, but there are so many other factors involved in making the decision to play or not its just not that simple. Schools would need some sort of security against players who might get seriously ill with it. The odds may be great, but it would just take one to develop bad symptoms or God forbid, die from it and the fallout would be catastrophic for college football in general. Detractors would be coming out of the woodwork because college administrators put $$$ in front of student athlete's health.

Honestly, player's point of view is probably really low on the list to be considered. It would be important once a lot of other issues were disposed of, but up front, not so much.
