I once had a surreal experience in Florence.

As a kid, we would almost always stop there on our way to/from the beach during the summer. One year when I was probably 12 or 13, we stopped at the Hardee's on 52 to get breakfast. While we're standing in line, my mom says, "Hey, is that Zach's (my best friend) dad up there?" as she pointed to the front of the line. I scoffed and reminded her that we were nearly 400 miles from home and there was absolutely no reason my best friend's dad would be standing in line ordering breakfast at a random Hardee's in Florence, SC. Then he turned around and we realized it was, in fact, my best friend's father. So weird. He was on a business trip, but the odds of running into him there still blow my mind.
