My house is walking distance from the Norfolk city line. If my house ever


floods it'll be a once in a millennium kind of event. The Elizabeth River would have to rise some 20-odd feet and I've never heard of it coming close to that. So, we don't ever evacuate for anything less than a category 3 hurricane, and even then we're usually staying since cat 3 storms almost always make landfall on the OBX and weaken considerably before they get here.
