Entire dental staff records every day when entering. We record and sign


each reading. Don't know why but we were told to add one degree to our daily reading. I'm sure all of that is liability coverage.
Readings can't be very accurate. Some who stayed in a hot car had high readings. After being in the shade or when we were allowed to bring them inside BEFORE recording many would cool down to normal levels. Ditto for those blowing AC in their car. When someone records 93.6 they are either mostly dead or something is screwy. Datum..
We follow up with an "in-ear" scanner for those with screwy readings. Haven't resorted to the rectal thermometer ..... yet.
