1986 Peach Bowl and after the game a buddy and I are hitting some bars (of course) and it is New Years Eve. We duck into one bar just to grab a quick beer as we were heading to another bar to meet some friends and the place is dark, but the bar is right near the door. My round so I order a couple of beers and I pay the bartender. As I am waiting for change I notice there are not any women and then I notice the dance floor and as I turn to my buddy to say I think this is a gay bar and realize he has beat feet and is gone. I had already paid for the beers so I drank them really quick and then met him outside and we then had a discussion on whether the beers should have been drank or abandoned. I was a poor just out of college kid, so the answer was pretty obvious to me......
