Are you talking 401K or personal investment?

401K hold, what do you care what the price is unless you invested in an individual stock that goes to zero. If you are doing this I would have to ask why.

Personal Investment: Don't time the market you will lose, best you can do is dollar cost averaging, unless you think what you are invested in is a dead in, then sell and find something else you believe in.
