We cancelled our Regal Unlimited earlier this week. We loved going to the

movies before all this and we definitely got our money's worth out of the subscription. Unfortunately I'm not sure I can think of a riskier environment right now. Indoors around strangers who may or may not have on masks for an extended period of time. Obviously some of it will depend on how many people are in the theater but I just don't see it being worth the risk.

And I hate it b/c like I said we really enjoy going to the theater and were thrilled when Regal Unlimited finally came out. I'm honestly not sure how traditional movie theaters survive this and that would have a ripple throughout the entire entertainment industry. If you don't have theaters to premiere big budget blockbusters in then do you stop making them? You already have Disney putting Mulan out on Disney+ for $30.

I'm also not convinced that Regal will end up opening in August. They were supposed to open July 10 or so... then it was pushed back to the end of July, now it's the end of August. They're at the mercy of the studios who keep pushing back movies like Tenet. Without new movies to show there's no reason for theaters to reopen... but without theaters reopened there's no reason for new movies to release.
