...I would say you'd be missing out on a lot of the history of the island, which is heavily linked to their search and why they are targeting certain areas. Sure, you could tune in near the end and not have missed much in the way of actual discoveries, but to me, the show is about so much more than that.

Full disclosure: I am a huge fan of the show, so I'm biased. I realize some people probably hate it and think it's stupid. The Laginas may not ever find anything of significant value on the island - but in my opinion, it would still be worth it. They are getting to live out a childhood dream together, and that is pretty dang awesome as far as I'm concerned. They are two really good guys who aren't in this for notoriety, and they go out of their way to show respect to and include those who previously devoted their lives to searching for whatever might be hidden Oak Island. I can't help but "root" for them.
