Kinda already happened here a couple weeks ago. Protest

has been happening nightly downtown (peaceful protest, not a riot). Group of protestors walking up and down the street and I guess occasionally blocking traffic. One of the protestors was openly carrying an AK-47 (Open carry is allowed here). A rideshare driver drops off a fare, and turns onto the road and encounters the crowd. Crowd kind of swarms his car. According to the rideshare driver, the protestor points the AK-47 at him, so the driver (with legal CC) pulls his gun and shoots/kills the protestor and drives off. Another protestor pull his legal CC and shoots at the fleeing driver. Hits car, but misses driver. Driver drives a couple blocks and calls police. No charges for either shooter (at least none yet).

But yeah - I can see next confrontation being bigger.
