No need to install a heat pump since you have heat covered

Just install a central AC. Since you will have two separate systems, you need to make sure your setting for heat is below the setting for cooling. We have a 99 year old house with a gas boiler and radiators for heat and an A/C with mini ducts. We set the heat thermostat at 66 and the AC at 72 and there's no need to touch them.

Routing the duct work is going to be the biggest challenge.
