First, house upgrades: 1) new roof ; 2) renovate HVAC system ....

3) new garage door; 4) re-pave (long) driveway; 5) new windows; 6) consider new siding of a new color; 7) $25K devoted to kitchen remodel. All in all, that should suck up about $70K I am thinking.

Then:

** reasonably affordable AWD vehicles for all family drivers (that's 4 cars), so maybe 80K?
** $50K each (that's x3) to contribute to college savings (the rest is on them to work a job and save!)

So we're now up to $300K. Then:

$100K (10%) as a charitable tithe
$100K to a travel fund -- we've only got so much time left!
$100K reserved for future infrastructure upgrades (such as fancy gardens/landscaping, or maybe adapting the house to single level/ADA use).
$400K to general retirement fund.
