Oh, I totally disagree with this....

"And I live in the NRV, which is a semi-rural area where dudes tend to know how to fix things themselves. It’s not an urban area where fix-it skills are scarce and business plentiful."

Nope. As you guys all know, I live in the NRV, and I can't fix a damn thing. I'm not interested in learning, either. I need to replace the flushing mechanisms in all four toilets in my house, plus replace the spigots in both bathtubs/showers. Easy, right? I don't wanna do it. I want to pay someone else to do it.

My brother replaced his own water heater the other day. I thought, "Idiot. Why? Pay someone else to do it."

I just built a new ramp for my shed -- look at this thing. It looks pathetically easy to build. But it took me about 6 hours over two sessions and Wiped. Me. Out. I like building stuff, but pretty soon, I won't be able to anymore. I just don't have the strength/stamina/will.

Do the small-job, handyman thing. Install people's water heaters, do their plumbing odd jobs, stuff like that. I think there's a demand. I think you can keep pretty busy.

Hell, I've got a closet project in my garage that needs doing. You can start with that. I could build it. I don't want to. I want to pay someone to do it.
