So what's the wedding gift etiquette in the age of coronavirus? My niece

is getting married in about 2 weeks. They had planned a fairly large wedding and reception, but it's over the legal limits for New York State, so now it's 50 or less, socially distanced, for the wedding and then that same 50 or less for a small dinner (in a place that COULD hold 2 or 3 hundred).

The official 'reception' for all that they planned to invite will be one year later.

We're planning on a monetary gift. Do I give it all 2 weeks from now, and a year from now say "Sorry, you already got paid", or do I do some sort of a split? Other gift approaches?

Lounge responses accepted, of course.
